Hello, iam Julia Cortez, Take it easy.

Man, talk about a bummer! Elvis Presley was censored on TV back in the day. It’s hard to believe that such an iconic figure would be subject to such strict rules. But, alas, it happened. From 1956-1960, Elvis’ performances were heavily edited due to his suggestive hip movements and lyrics deemed too risqué for television audiences. Yikes! The censors even went so far as to blur out his guitar during some of his performances - talk about overkill! Thankfully, times have changed and we can now enjoy Elvis’ music without any restrictions.

Back in the day, Elvis was so popular that TV networks had to censor him! Whenever he appeared on screen, they’d blur out his hips and legs - can you believe it? It’s crazy to think that the King of Rock ’n’ Roll was too risqué for TV. I guess they just weren’t ready for all that swiveling and shaking!
